and sorry, but no thing to say for awhile, just grief and fever, and a snowsqualling wind blowing through the streets like wolves let loose and running…
did a bunch of interviews last week, shipwrecked in bed with pneumonia, like trying to wrestle goldfish in a bathtub full of motor oil, the words kept slipping out of reach and into the fog, blinking forlornly…
good news= tours are starting to take shape. will post all the dates once they’re confirmed.
right now europe is march/april= france, UK, ireland, belgium, switzerland, italy, holland. (germany’s looking bleak, but maybe munich.)
we’re trying to book another tour in august/september= eastern europe, and russia if we can.
U!S!A! U!S!A! U!S!A!———> (short one for now, but more in the fall.) this is us in may= boston, nyc, philadelphia, baltimore, d.c., asheville, chapel hill, atlanta, nashville, louisville, chicago, detroit.

I wonder if the possibility to comment on your posts/expressions of thought (or is it more than just thought?), is simply to make ‘us’ feel better or you actually read it. I don’t know, considering it’s hard not to grasp that you are genuinely sympathetic, sincere, aggrieved, tormented, simmering, … (?) Do tell me if I’m wrong.
What I respect the most is that you try to express what thwarts you and perhaps even change the world, that is: change minds, even given the fact that you as well are just people with no definite, external purpose and that the chance of misunderstanding or just not understanding is so vast.
I tend to permit myself of understanding you perhaps half of what wanders, hovers in your head(s). It’s 2010 yet and finally appreciate you and your music enough — enough isn’t the right word — and with the time being ‘right’ (and wrong), that I can experience you playing in Belgium on the 3rd of April. I hope that I’m going to be able to talk to you, on the condition of you not being tired of…

Damn, Pneumonia is terrible, I’ve had it myself earlier in 2009, it seems running outside in the rain with a t-shirt and pants was a terrible idea.
But it’s good to hear that things are getting in motion for tours, I hope you’ll come back to Toronto for another show, the matinee at Lee’s Palace was fantastic.

NYC is just full of too many hip kids and it’s 4 hours away. My girlfriend lives in Boston, though and maybe I will try to visit her while you’re playing there.

Germany is looking bleak, OKAY!, .. yes, but Straßburg, Bern or anything else nearly the south of Germany, please? The venue in Schorndorf, the manfuactur, near Stuttgart is really nice - but on the last tour less than 50 people…

Hope you swing through Glasgow again. Been almost four years. Not the prettiest post-industrial city in the world, but I was walking through an abandoned park last night, bang smack in the middle of this half-decaying industrial wasteland of a neighbourhood I live in, blanketed in the unbroken light February snow and it made me happy. Sure, a guy got stabbed in the Chinese takeaway across from our front window a couple of weeks back, and there’s an Orange Lodge and Blue Star Club next to that, but sometimes here can be a nice place…

Most of the people here are commenting in hope that you visit the place they live. As a brazilian I would find the most amazing thing if you guys came here, but who am I fooling?, there are not enough listeners here, and that is such a shame. You guys have been my favorite band for years and I must accept that you probably will never come to Latin America. Sad but true. Keep on making records, keep on rocking.

Melbourne has a strong following and though that is the other end of the country from here, it is a lot easier than travelling to Europe or the US. Please come to our shores!
